Message of support

I congratulate Gaywise for coordinating the GFest LGBT Arts Festival. GFest will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the work of filmmakers, artists and performers from across the globe. Images of lesbian and gay life from round the world support international visibility and allow audiences to draw inspiration from the experiences of others.

I also applaud the organizers because this festival complements the Pride Parade, Soho Pride and the London Lesbian and Gay Film festival making our city one of the gay capitals of the world.

I am totally committed to lesbian and gay equality and I am proud of the contributions that lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans communities make to London’s vibrant social, economic and cultural life.
