screenplay for the 2001 Fox Searchlight release KINGDOM COME. His first short
film, AVAILABLE MEN has won 14 'Best Short Film' awards since its world
premiere in March 2006 at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival.

About the Filmmakers:
Luz Diaz is 23 years old and has directed several short films of fiction
and documentary within the framework of her studies of cinema in the
INSAS & subsequently. In 2006, she was a European member of the jury
for the Marathon of short film’s writing of the International Festival
of the scriptwriters of Bourges ( Scenario In the Long Court). She was
also a prize-winner of the Belgian competition “All in Cannes” following
the writing of a criticism concerning David Lynch film “ Mulholland Drive”.

| Film Synopsis:Simon,
a Swedish photographer living in New York - Harlem, answers his doorbell
one day to find his grandmother, his mormor, standing at
his doorstep. Mormor, tired of her sheltered
Swedish retirement home, has eloped to join Simon in the freedoms of New York
life. Now Simon has to figure out what to do with his 82 year old grandmother-
and how to explain that naked black man in his bed. |
About the Filmmakers:
Originally from Sweden, Casper’s University studies brought him to Chicago,
Illinois and Paris. Casper Andreas has now founded his own company Embrem
Entertainment and is based in New York.
