About the filmmaker: Joe Morris is a writer/director from Sheffield. He secured finance from Screen Yorkshire to complete his second film Veteran, as part of the Digital Shorts slate 2009. He participated in Screen Yorkshire's Digital Shorts scheme where he wrote and directed his short film 'Boy' which was shown as GFEST 2009. Joe has recently participated in Screen Yorkshire's high level bespoke training and development programme, Super 8.

About the filmmaker: David Hewitt's 2004 film Belly Button was accepted into many Festivals and won first prize at Raindance East and DVuser and Filmstock Audience Award. David continues to make promotional films and commercials, and also takes time to teach filmmaking in prisons to young offenders, and work with local communities.

About the filmmaker: Hannah's short film Franswa Sharl won the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale Film Festival in 2010 as well as being nominated for the Teddy Award. She has also won best Australian short film award. Prior to that Hannah's previous short films collectively won several awards.

About the filmmaker: Betsy Kalin received a BA in Women's Studies from Columbia University and a Directing MFA from the University of Miami and runs Itchy Bee Productions. Her feature-length documentary, Hearts Cracked Open, ed at the Frameline Film Festival and has won several awards.

About the filmmaker: Sam Donovan is director of two short films, King Ponce and Unite. Hammerhead is his third short film with cinematographer Fabian Wagner and his second with writer Andrew Yerlett. Unite was one of 15 national 60 second shorts to be selected for the BAFTA in 2008.

Description: Manila, Philippines: On a quiet side street, tucked away from the noisy, polluted traffic there is a special place: Home for the Golden Gays has been a refuge for the elderly and vulnerable gays of Manila since 1969.
About the filmmaker: Nola studies Journalism at the Danish School of Journalism and currently works for the Danish national newspaper Information. She has been an editor in chief of the Danish magazine CITAT, after being an associate editor at online magazine UrbanDaddy in New York.

About the filmmaker: Liane Lang grew up in Germany and the US. She studied at NCAD in Dublin and completed a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College followed by a Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Academy, where she graduated in 2006. Her work is concerned with notions of animacy, which she investigates through sculpture, photography and video works.

About the filmmaker: Craig Boreham is a Sydney based writer/director. Much of Craig's video and film work focuses on themes of sexuality and the politics of desire. His films have been seen in over 150 festivals and have received numerous awards.

Description: A hearing-impaired boy, Min-so is gay, and he likes his classmate, Ji-seok. One day, Min-so impulsively has sex with a man who works in a public bath, an experience that lends him a new-found confidence, but at a heavy price.
About the filmmaker: Kim is one of South Korea's few openly gay film directors and has been involved in the production of several works with gay themes. He produced the 2006 film No Regret which was considered to be "the first real Korean gay feature." In 2008, he directed and wrote his first short film, Boy Meets Boy as well as two follow-ups: Just Friends? and LOVE, 100°C .
