Description: This is a story of a perfect photograph in a 'single frame'.
About the filmmaker: Giovanni was born in Prato, Italy. He graduated in Theory and Technical Cinematographic Language from the University of Florence, he also has an MA in Cinematic Direction. He has directed nine short films and has won over ninety prizes in Italian and Spanish film festivals. Giovanni lives in Madrid, where he co-owns a production company.

About the filmmaker: Kent Thomas attended film school at Columbia College in Chicago. He graduated in 1994 and in 2003 he started his own film production company. In 2006 he produced his first short 'Collision'. He is working on several short projects and his feature script.

Filmmaker: Matthew Mishory
Description: Delphinium is a lyrical coming-of-age portrait of legendary filmmaker Derek Jarman's artistic, sexual, and political awakening in post-war England.
About the filmmaker: Matthew Mishory studied film theory and screenwriting at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a Regent Scholar and Golden Reel Award recipient. His writings on film criticism and international cinema history have been published in the Focus Media Journal, housed at MoMA in New York, and in Glitterati Magazine. His films are showcased in various festivals across the world.

About the filmmaker: Faryal graduated from the London College of Communication with a degree in Filmmaking and worked as an Assistant Director on a number of independent films. She is currently working to develop two feature film projects.

Description: John wakes up from a coma with no memory of how he got to the hospital, only to go through incidents that make him realise who he really is.
About the filmmaker: Valeriy Eremenko is a young director with broad experience in both television and film with credits for Sony Pictures, Discovery Channel, CNBC and Channel 4. As well as being an accomplished director, he has branded programmes for BBC World TV (and) BBC Persian TV. Valeriy has recently completed an MA in Film at the prestigious International Film School of Wales.

Description: An exploration of the emotional state of a fragile young man - desperately clinging to his lover and using self destructive tactics in order to keep their relationship from ending.
About the filmmaker: Stoo Iresen trained in Film and Communications at Goldsmiths College. He is currently working on a set of related shorts depicting young men caught in various internal and external prisons. He is also currently expanding upon the technique of combining live action with animation or drawn elements.

They were the winners of the Arcilesbica award at Omovies 2009.

About the filmmaker: Michael Urwin was a performer working in theatre, TV and film. On stage he has played Pip in Great Expectations and Tibalt in Romeo and Juliet. He toured the world, dancing for the Lindsay Kemp Company and starred alongside James Dreyfus in the British film Boyfriends.

Description: Desi (of Indian origin) Girls speak out their varying experiences about the role of 'minority within minority' and diverse but often fractured immigrant South Asian LGBT issues in New York.
About the filmmaker: Ishita Srivastava grew up in New Delhi, India. After completing her MA degree in Cinema Studies and Culture and Media at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Ishita left academia to explore her passion for making documentaries. She currently lives in New York and works on the media team of a non-profit organisation called Breakthrough that uses media tools to highlight awareness of human rights issues.
